geek love
Friend of mine (velochicdunord) just pointed out that Sunday (premier of the 1st Star Wars movie in 1977) is geek pride day, at least in Spain but potentially everywhere.  (Sunday is also Towel Day - in honor of Douglas Adams.)  Must think of how to celebrate.

And now (wasting time on line as I am wont to do) I see that there is also a pi day, a mole day, and a square root day coming up in the next ten months.  Must figure out how to play with those things on campus.  Geek movie night, at the very least.

For those wondering, I am, indeed, going to be teaching lab courses again next year.  My plate will be very full.  Bio, Ochem, GenChem, Genetics & Evolution, maybe even - god help us - Physics.  (Can you see me as a physicist?)  Also perhaps assisting with botany.  Or perhaps not, to keep my sanity.

So, what should we do in celebration of Mole Day (10/23) - the next one coming up?

For mole day, I vote we make mole sauce (mole-LAY, not made of actual lil' rodents). You know what I mean, the chocolate-chili Mexican sauce. yummmmm. Put it over some chicken or veggies, and it will be delicious :)

I think I am coming home on Monday now, instead of Sunday, just so you know. I miss you!

ps - so my SCATHING review did positively NOTHING to make sure you didn't get re-hired, eh? Drat. I need to draw more angry little faces...

Mole sauce
Definitely a great idea with the chicken/veggie mole. I wonder if we asked the kitchen to do it, whether they'd mess it up?

Monday? I you *sure* you're not being held down there against your will? I worries, I does.

Tell S that I got Pan's Labyrinth for when you get back.

Scathing reviews? Pah! I laugh at your scathing reviews!
