Is Mercury in retrograde?
Ok, so I'm not one of those people who puts much faith (at all) in the alignment of planets.  But despite that, I swear Mercury must be in retrograde.  Or something is way off.  Friends of mine from all areas of my life are having near-meltdowns, or at least very bad days.  I've been grouchy on and off for a week or more (and I'm rarely grouchy) and I find myself actually getting angry.  Me.  Angry.  Very odd.

Two of the many organizations I'm involved with have had personnel conflicts that caused moderate to major shifts in at least one person's contribution (each) to said organizations.  I think both of them might have happened three or four days ago, but I wasn't keeping careful track.  One situation I know nothing about except for the outcome.  The other, I know just enough to think, "What was zie smoking??" but not enough to have the mess make any sense (assuming sense could, actually, be made of it).

On the plus side, my chickens gave me eight eggs today - a huge improvement over yesterday's three.  Also on the plus side, whatever was causing my computer to stall for a fraction of a second every three seconds has mysteriously stopped doing it.  Wish I knew what it was, but as long as it stays gone, I'm happy.

On the work side, my tasks for the next two hours are: (1) back up the computer, (2) find and read stuff for my 9:30 am class tomorrow, and (3) figure out what those four things were that I needed to remember for my 6:30 meeting.  Not a bad Sunday, all told, especially since I haven't done any work yet:)

On the "never do today what can be put off until tomorrow" side, I may muck out the chicken coop on Tuesday.  Certainly not today.  Hopefully they won't mind.

Whether or not mercury is in retrograde or not, if everybody is having a bad week, it only makes sense. I'm having a great week, and it seems to happen more often than coincidence that I'm having a good time when everyone else is watching rome burn. Well, I hope everyone's better soon. (This is Josh)

Spring hit with a vengeance this weekend, and just from observing the general public while working Sat/Sun, it almost seems like everyone sent 75% of their brain cells off to the recliner and refilled the brain cavity with oatmeal.

("My God, it's...warm! Whoa, dude, what was I doing again?")

Heh. I saw the first runner in shorts Friday last.

There's still a bit of ice on the bike trails, but Mo' Nature, she's just roaring up out of the ground, making up for lost time.

And the birds! 4 f'ing am. Already.

Mercury, whatever-cury, I agree with you. Crazy weird shit keeps happening, as usual, but this week all of it is bad.

My week was largely awful as well, with a couple of bright spots that I purposely sought out. If Mercury is in retrograde, I want to kick its planetary butt and get it moving in a different direction realssonnow!

Mercury isn't due to be in retrograde again until the end of May. So, that isn't it. I think as everything is thawing out, some of the loose ends or niggly things are also loosening up and happening all at once. Meh.

I blame the lack of a significant chocolate therapy in our diets.
We should conduct a clinical trial.
