I actually spent most of yesterday and today tracking the polls.  And I actually spent all of this evening reloading web pages.  A truly terrific election.  (Last time I watched more than a few minutes was, I think, in 1972 when I was 12; that was a big disappointment).  I am pleased as punch that we elected Obama.  And I suppose this isn't actually the major point, but I find myself suddenly shocked (in a good way) that we actually elected a black president.  I mean, wow.  I really wouldn't have thought this country was up for that, yet.  I am very impressed with all of you!  (And thank the non-USans for cheering us on, too.)

Heh. I stopped, you started.

In true Web 2.0 style, I learned from Serene, just before I turned the radio on after 8 pm. But the fireworks going off would have tipped me. (West Berkeley is celebrating.)
